By putting pieces on the board, you can create new full sounds as all the notes belong to the same scale.
The pieces were cast in epoxy. Different transparency filter light in many many ways witch influence the sound.
In close collaboration with Synthux.academy and Design Academy Eindhoven, we created the collective Make It Sound.
Make It Sound is a group of designers and artists interested in interactive sound/light installations. The exhibition of the same name gathered a collection of synthesizers completely different from one another.

The top plate is made of three layers to create depth
In each box, there is an LDR. Each LDR is assigned to a frequency from a chosen scale on two octaves.
The amount of light controls the level of the sound: the lesser the light, the louder the sound. The notes level are independent of each other.
Two potentiometers control each reverb and damping. The last one allows you to change scales thanks to arrays in the code.
